Feltárások az Aranyhegyi-patak menti temetőben (Lassányi Gábor)
Ezt követően, valószínűleg a 4. században, a felhagyott temető számos síremlékét, felszíni kőépítményét viszszabontották, és kőanyagát elszállították. A legkésőbbi lelet, Valentinianus császár follisa, már szórvány-leletként került elő az 1. szonda bolygatott felső rétegéből. Az Aquincumi I líd által érintett területen a szondázások 200?-ben várhatóan tovább folytatódnak. The earliest find from the excavation was a small Celtic bronze coin which came from one of the late layers of test trench no. 5. No other characteristic Celtic material was found. A number of sunken features were found in test cuttings nos. 1, 2, 3 and 5 from before the burials. They may belong to post-structure buildings (from the AD 1 st century?). The first graves were dug after these features had been abandoned and filled up. Most of these graves had an east-west orientation. The earliest uncovered graves came from the late Flavian period according to earlier publications, while the cremation burials we have unearthed can rather be dated from the AD 2 nd century since a number of graves contained Hadrian's bronze coins. The grave gardens were reconstructed in the 2 ,ld centurv and there were also burials from the beginning of the AD 3 rd centurv, especially in the eastern part of the cemetery Numerous funeral sepulchres and overground stone constructions from the abandoned cemetery were pulled down in the AD 4 th century and the stones were transported away. The latest find is Emperor Valentinian's follis, which was found as a scattered find in the disturbed upper laver of test cutting no. 1. Investigations in the area of the cemetery and on the territory to be occupied by the Aquincum Bridge will probably be carried on in 2005. Gábor Lassányi Oil
