Aqfüz 10 (2004) 116-122. Until now the earliest occurenceof the latter legume came from a AD 5 th century level at Keszthely-Fenékpuszta. From among the food remains, The remains of grain mush (features 91 and 181 ) and leavened bread (feature no. 169) were found among the remains of food. The other plant species present reflect the closer natural environment of the settlement. The great bulrush implies a reed-belt, the occurrence of Heleocharis palustris indicates a higher elevation, while the large number of specimens of cheese-rennet, rib-grass and black nonsuch speak to a drier meadow or pasture environment. Further investments and consequent archaeological excavations can be expected in connection with the development of the Savoya park on the western part of the Albertfalva vicus, thus, enriching our archaeological knowledge of this area.
