4. Az aquincumi polgárváros ún. Symphorus mithraeumának hitelesítő feltárása (Zsidi Paula)

rabbi feltárással már bolygatott feltöltési rétegben folyt. A feltárás eredményei elsősorban a mithraeum alaprajzához és építéstörénctéhez szolgáltak új adatokkal. (2. kép) Az I. sz. (korábbi) mithraeum: A korábbi mithraeum maradványaira először a későbbi cella elomlott pódiumfalának elbontása során bukkantunk. Az egykori pódiumfalba ékelődött nagyméretű fatuskó kiemelése során, a későbbi cella helyreállított járószintje alatt mintegy 50-60 centiméterrel, egy kemény, öntött, habarcsos padlószint összefügő felületét találtuk, mely a korábbi mithraeum cellájához tartozott. Nagy Tibor, közleménye alapján, egykor a korai cella teljes területét feltárta, amit az öntött padló feletti visszatöltött földréteg is igazolt. A korábbi (Jutott padló sértetlenül, igen jó állapotban maradt ránk. A padló jól érzékelhetően lejtett nyugati irányban, a kultuszkép felé. Az öntött padló a korábbi szentély pódiumfalaihoz, simult, mintegy 4-5 centiméter magas szegélyt képezve. Az északi pódiumfalat sárga agyagba rakták, s a későbbi falnál 12-25 centiméterrel beljebb helyezkedett el, s iránya is eltért a későbbi falétól néhány fokkal. A későbbi mithreaum építése során visszabontották, hogy a cellát észation had to be complemented, while doing no more than necessary for the reconstruction. Accordingly the majority of the activities was concentrated in the layers already disturbed by the former excavations. The results of the excavations contribute especially to the plan and construction history of the mithraeum. (Fig. 2) Mithraeum no. 1 (earlier): The remains of the earlier mithraeum were first found under the collapsed podium wall of the later cella. The coherent surface of a compact, cast mortar floor level was found about 50-60 cm under the reconstructed floor level of the later cella during the lifting of a large tree stump wedged into the former podium wall. This floor level belonged to the cella of the earlier mithraeum. Tibor Nagy unearthed the entire surface of the early cell according to his report, which was corroborated by the refilled soil on the cast floor. The earlier cast floor had survived in very good condition without damage. It obviously sloped westwards toward the cult image. The east floor was smoothed against the podium walls of the earlier shrine creating an about 4-5 cm high rim. The northern podium wall was laid in a yellow clay. It stood 12-25
