The domed ceiling of one of the rooms can entirely be reconstructed. (Fig. S) The binding substance used in the next construction period contained a high proportion of gravel. It was a compact mortar, which could, perhaps, support a second floor as well. In the last rennovation, the heating system was renewed. The abandonment of the building is once again indicated by the presence of late Roman graves. The east-west road, a prolongation of the road bordering the 2 nd3 rd century legionary fortress in the south, had already been located in the western part of the town (MADARASSY 1996). The construction history of the dwelling house south of this road could be followed during the excavations in lot at 6 Vályog Street, which is owned by the FICIIFR-BAU Kft. (MADARASSY 1997; MADARASSY 1998; MADARASSY 1999). Similarly to the tendencies observed in other parts of the Military Town, the 2 nd century building was pulled down.
