5. Leletmentések az ún. Bécsi úti temető északi részén (K. Facsády Annamária)
Leletmentések az ún. Bécsi úti temető északi részén (Budapest, III. Farkastorki út, Bécsi út, Váradi utca, Perényi utca) A Bécsi út mentén végighúzódó, több parcellás temető léte már régóta ismert a kutatás számára, az évek folyamán azonban minden esetben különböző beruházások földmunkáival párhuzamosan végzett leletmentések során váltak ismertté a temető északi szakaszának egyes sírjai. (TOPÁL 1993) Nem voltunk jobb helyzetben az idei évben sem, bár 1999 folyamán a III. Bécsi út nyugati oldalán, a Váradi utcától a Farkastorki útig terjedő szakaszon több alkalommal végeztünk építési munkához, illetve közműárok készítéséhez kapcsolódóan leletmentést. (1. kép) A Bécsi út - Farkastorki út Perényi utca - Nagybátonyi út által határolt területen 1998-ban megkezdett építkezés és közművesítés folyamán előkerült leletek egy részéről már beszámoltunk. (FACSÁDY 1998) A munka az idei évben tovább folytatódott, s részben a Bécsi út mentén készített közműárkokban, részben az épület alapozási Rescue Excavations in the Northern Part of the so-called Bécsi Street Cemetery (Budapest, District III, Farkastorki Street, Bécsi Street, Váradi Street, Perényi Street) The existence of a cemetery with several sectors along the Bécsi Street has long been recognized by research. The individual graves of the northern part of the cemetery were unearthed during rescue excavations conducted parallel to the earthmoving work of various developers. (TOPÁL 1993) The situation was no better this year either, although we able to carry out rescue excavations several times in 1999 on the western side of the Bécsi Street along the stretch between the Váradi and the Farkastoroki Streets in connection to construction works and the digging of trenches for public utilities. (Figure 1) Some of the finds uncovered during the construction work and the laying down of public utilities started in 1998 in the area bordered by the Bécsi, the Farkastoroki, the Perényi and the Nagybátonyi Streets have already been published.
