4. Régészeti kutatások az aquincumi katonaváros területén, 1999 (Madarassy Orsolya)
mencéinek elplanírozása felett a 2. század eleji tereprendezés döngölt agyagos szintjét találtuk. (5. kép) Az ipartelep vízvezetéke és csatornahálózata valószínűleg a későbbi katonavárost is kiszolgálta. Egy 268-270 közé keltezhető, Claudius Gothicus érmeivel datált jellegzetes tereprendezés szemétgödre egy korábbi csatorna elbontott köves-habarcsos tégláit tartalmazta. A tereprendezés után steril eróziós feltöltés, majd egy újabb 4. századi Constantinus dinasztia és Valentinianus érmeivel datálható járószint következett. A Bécsi út 127. telek szondázó jellegű feltárásán az újkori rétegek alatt egy 264-266 közé keltezhető cölöpkonstrukciós védműrendszer 5. kép: 2. századi tereprendezés - döngölt agyag planírozás. Building debris pit from between AD 268170 in the foreground (Budapest III, 54 Föld Street) We observed a pulled down wall of a building from the 2 nd-3 rd centuries and a late Roman levelling layer above it at the western edge of the town during the excavations at 189 Bécsi Road. We found the pounded clay level from the landscaping at the beginning of the 2 nd century over the levelling of the ovens of the potters' settlement in Kiscelli Street during the excavations at 54 Föld Street. (Figure 5) The water conduit and channelling system of the industrial settlement was probably also used by the later Military Town. The garbage pit from intensive landscaping, dated by Claudius Gothicus's coins, contained the bricks coated with plaster and gravel from an earlier, demolished channel. A sterile erosional fill followed the landscaping then another floor level dated by coins from the Constantine dynasty and Valentinian from the 4 lh century. The traces of a defence system with a post structure dated from between AD 264 and 266 could be localised
