Since most of the graves could not been seen on the surface, a layer of small broken stones was spread over the territory pushing the former dirt road more to the east. We found this gravel trodden into the top of the graves especially on the more eroded sur­face of the central sectors. The berm (Figure 14) of the road was marked by more solid heaps of stone on the north/north-western side (Figure 1:18), composing a contiguous arc with the "small wall" found in 1998 (8.). Coins from the 4 th century were scattered on the surface of the macadam road indicating the new approach to the western late graves. Tibor Hable
