2. Sírok és sírkövek a Bécsi úti temetőből (Hable Tibor-Márton András)

5. kép: A 12. számú sir kibontva Figure 5: The open grave no. 12. kolással fedték le. Az alján teguladarabokkal töltötték ki a hézagokat, a déli oldallapot a föld súlya contained a fragment of a finial (with a tympanum) that did not belong to any of the tombstones found here, which suggests that another grave (or graves) made of stone slabs might have been destroyed during the modern works. The bottom of the construction was composed of two roughly carved stone slabs. (Figure 5) Both the northern and the eastern sides were made from a gravestone (Figures 7 and 8), the western and the southern sides were composed of finely carved stone slabs, while the lid was made from another large stone slab. (Figure 3) The slabs were joined by mortar, which survived in several places. The holes in the bottom were filled in with tegula fragments. The southern wall was pushed in a few centimeters by the weight of the soil. Two persons were buried in the grave (Figure 4) but the original orientation and the order of the deposition of the bodies could not be determined because of the disturbance. It was only the estimated larger distance from the original surface that suggested that the bodies had been buried at the same time. The neck fragment from a glass flask, dated from the 4th century (BARKÓCZI 1988, 231., No. 95.), was found in the robbers' pit. It probably came from the grave.
