5. Római kori beépítettség kutatása az aquincumi katonaváros északnyugati határán /Madarassy Orsolya/

vő 4. századi sírkápolna (cella trichord) s az azt megelőző canabae többperiódusú épületmaradványai. Ezek az épületek ENy-DK tájolásúak, s a mai Hunor utcát megelőző római útra nyíltak, amely a városhatáron kívül is folytatódhatott. A megkutatott terület teljes hosszában erre az útra tájolt, ENY-DK irányú vályog- és kőfalas épületnyomok, valamint további vízelvezető árkok kerültek elő. A lakott terület idővel egyre keletebbre terjeszkedett. A 2. sz. elején cölöpszerkezetú vályogfalas házakat emeltek, s már itt megfigyelhető az épületek folytonos toldozgatása K felé. Ezektől az épületektől K-re egy ugyancsak ENY - DK tájolású kőalapozású épület részleteit tártuk fel. Ezt a 2-3. sz. fordulóján átépítették, omlása - pusztulása a 3.sz. második felében következett be. A terület felhagyása időben megegyezik a canabae más pontjain megfigyelt tendenciákkal. A kétféle tájolású falmaradványok a különböző tájolású úthálózat változtatására engednek következtetni. Az itt megfigyelt jelenségek alapján úgy tűnik, egy legiótábor építése előtt egyszerre, ugyanerre a rendszerre fűződik fel a territórium úthálózata is. A korai, rövid életű, E-D tájolású és a későbbi ENY - DK irányú, a 2.SZ. elejétől a 3.sz. végéig fejlődő objektumok feltehetőleg a korai és a 2-3.SZ. legiótáborok kitűzési rendszerét követik. road and additional drainage ditches were found along the full length of the excavated area.
