A BTM Aquincumi Múzeumának ásatásai és leletmentései 1994-ben (Aquincumi Füzetek 1. Budapest, 1995)

3. Kutatások Budaújlakon, az aquincumi katonaváros déli peremén /Hable Tibor/

en, a közeljövőben irodaház épül /mélygarázzsal/. A szükségessé vált régészeti kutatásokat a tulajdonos terhére, átalány fizetés ellenében, 111 teljes munkanap alatt végezték el a BTM kutatói /Dr. Gádor Judit és Pölös Andrea - Középkori Osztály; ill. Hable Tibor - Aquincumi Múzeum/ és a SCAVO Bt. ásatási brigádja (Itt mondunk köszönetet minden munkatársunknak, akik valamilyen fonnában segítették ezt az ásatást). Terepmunkánkat korábbi kutatási eredmények segítették. Elsődlegesen Márity Erzsébet /területünktől délre végzett/ ásatásait kellett figyelembe vennünk (Régészeti Füzetek Ser. 1. Nr. 43 /1991/ 56-58). A Bécsi út 65,67,69, 71, valamint Bokor u. 1, 3, 5. sz. alatti telkeken feltárt kb. 25 m széles és 2 m mély római korú csatorna megjelenése területünk nyugati szélén volt várható (8.kép. 31.obj.), tekintettel nyomvonalának E/EK-D/DNY-i tájolására (az idő-közben elhunyt régésznő irányításával készült dokumentáció alapján (in Aquincumi Múzeum). Számíthattunk még a csatorna környezetében, eltérő tájolású cölöpkonstrukciók nyomaira, római kutakra, tárológödrökre, földbe mélyített putrikra, keskeny vizesárkokra (Ugyanott: ás. dokum. in 1989). A várakozásoknak megfelelően, most is egy, a római legiótábor canabae-}ához közeli, elsődlegesen mezőgazdasági jellegéi övezetet tártunk fel. 2,5 - 3 m vastag újkori feltöltés alatt, kb. 1 m mély , Orsolya Madarassy in 1989. The necessary archaeological investigations were financed in the form of a lump sum donated by the owner and carried out by the staff of the Budapest History Museum (Dr. Judit Gádor and Andrea Pölös of the Medieval Department and Tibor Hable of the Aquincum Museum respectively) as well as the earth-moving team of the SCAVO enterprise. The help of colleagues who contributed in various ways to this project is acknowledged here. Field work was facilitated by the results of previous research. Principally, the work carried out by Dr. Erzsébet Márity to the south of our area of investigations must be mentioned here (Régészeti Füzetek Ser. 1. Nr. 43/1991/ 56-58). The appearance of the c. a. 25 m wide and 2 m deep Roman Period channel identified in lots 65, 67, 69 and 71 of Bécsi Street and lots 1,3 and 5 of Bokor Street was expected at the western edge of the present excavation area (Figure 8, Feature 31) due to the North/Northeast - South/Southwest orientation of this feature (Based on the documentation prepared under the direction of the late Dr. Márity). It was also possible to predict the likely presence of post-constructions with different orientations found in the
