971. SZÁM. 521 ARTICLE XV. Consuls-Goneral, Consuls, Vice Consuls, and Consular-Agents alsó Oonsular Pupils, Chancellors and Consulár Officers shall enjoy in the two countries all the liberties, prerogatives, immunities, and privile, ges granted to Functionaries of the same class of the most favored nation. ARTICLE XVI. In case of the death of a citizen of the United States in the Austrian-Hungarian Monarchy, or of a citizen of the Austrian-Hungarian Monarchy in the United States without having any kuown heirs or testamentary executors Tby him appointed, the competent local authorities shall inform the Consuls or Consulár Agents of the State to which the circumstancö, in order that the necessary information may he immediately forwarded to the parties interested. ARTICLE XVH. The present Convention shall remain in force for the space of ten years from the date of the exchange of the ratifications, which shall he made in conformity with the respective Constitutions of the two countries, and exchanged at Washington, within the period of ten (10) months or sooner if possible. In case neither of the Contracting Parties gives notice hefore the expiration of the said term of its intention not to renew this Convention; it shall remain in force a year longer, and so on from year, to year, until the expiration of a year from the day on which one of the parties shall have given such notice. In testimony whereof the respective Plenipotentiaries have signed this Convention and hereunto affixed their respective seals. A főconsulok, consulok, alconsulok és consuli ügynökök, valamint a consulsági növendékek, kan* czellárok és más consuli tisztviselők egymás or* szagaiban mindazon szabadalmakat, előjogokat, mentességeket élvezendik, melyek a legnagyobb kedvezésben részesülő nemzet ha^onrangu tisztviselőit illetik, XVI. CZIKK. Ha az osztrák-magyar monarchia valamely alattvalója az egyesült államokban vagy az egyesült államok valamely alattvalója az osztrák-magyar monarchiában elhalt, s az általa kinevezett örökösök vagy végrendeletének végrehajtói nem ismeretesek, az illetékes helyhatóságok azon államnak, melyhez az elhunyt tartozott, cjnsulait vagy consuli ügynökeit ezen esetről tudósítani fogják a végből, hogy a szükséges órtesitós az érdeklett felekhez haladék nélkül eljuthasson. XVII. CZIKK, Jelen szerződós tiz évig marad hatályban a jóváhagyási okmányok kicserélése napjától kezdve, mely jóváhagyás a két állam illető alkotmányai értelmében fog történni, az okmányok tiz hónap lefolyta alatt, vagy ha lehetséges előbb is Washingtonban cseréltetvén ki. Ha a szerződő felek egyike sem nyilvánítaná az emiitett időszak lefolyta előtt a szerződés meg nem újítása iránti szándókát, az ismét egy évvel ós igy tovább évről évre érvényben marad egy esztendő lefolytáig azon naptól fogva, a melyen a szerződő felek egyike azt felmondandja. Minek hiteléül az illető meghatalmazottak ezen egyezményt aláírták ós pecsétjeikkel megerősítették.
