Letter from the president of the Hungárián Central Statistical Office to the president of the Románián Central Statistical Office: „Dear Mr. Radocea, In the recent years the Hungárián Central Statistical Office prepared and issued — partly within the framework of a scientific work — the historical data of the population censuses carried out between 1880 and 1941 on the native language, nationalities by communes. We plan to publish alsó data by religions. We think that the data of the population censuses of our own country and of the neighbouring countries containing time series by settlements further the European régiónál demographic comparative analysis. I mention that the Austrian Statistical Office sent us already the data of Burgenland (for the 1920—1990 period) concerning which we had data for the 1880—1910 period.
