Restaurálás - Konzerválás - Kovács Petronella: Egy XVIII. századi gyermekkoporsó konzerválása

lyükrc tettem. Mozgásukat megakadályozó poliészterfóliát borítottam az installáció tetejére. A fóliát helyenként leragasztottam. (13. kép)

A fent ismertetett módon installált selyemmaradványok és szögek savmentes kartonból készült műtárgydobozba kerültek. A szögeket tartalmazó dobozba ritkaszövésű batisztból varrt, szilikagéllel töltött zsákocskákat tettem, a fémekre káros, esetleg magas relatív légnedvesség elkerülése érdekében. (14. kép)

RESTORATION OF 18TH CENTURY CHILD’S COFFIN

Abstracts: The child’s coffin covered with silk and decorated with cupper-nails, was found at the excavation of the Roman Catholic Curch of Sárospatak, in a crypt containing high relative humidity, which was later kept in dry storage in a museum. Twenty years passed until conservation.

The condition of the coffin required the procedures to solve:

1. The dechlorinating and cleaning of the metal-nails.

2. The reinforcement of the dried, brittle wood-material.

3. The cleaning and the conservation of the brittle silk-remains; and

4. The assembling of the coffin-base.

After the attempt to treat the materials of the composite object together, the restorer carried out the separate conservation and storage of the silk and the wood-material.
