The final sucrose concentration is 1050 g sucrose/1 water, the wood must be kept in this solution till it penetrates into the whole crosss-section of the wood. The solution contains a biocide of 0,2-0,6% KATHON CG.

By warming the solution, the period of conservation can be shortened. This time the temperature must be kept at 50 °C. The starting and final concentration of the impregnation solution is equal to the cold-treatment. Raising the sucrose concentration step by step, 50 g/1 every half a day and later after dissolving the sucrose. In both cases after treatment, the conserved wood must be washed with tap water and then wrapped up in canvas and dried under sand.
