A cikkben a szerző felhívja a figyelmet arra, hogy a műtárgyak korszerű restaurálásánál a felhasznált anyagok öregedését, stabilitását, reverzibilis-irreverzibilis viselkedését is figyelembe kell venni. Javasolja kiegészítésnél az UV aktiv anyagok használatát, valamint a tudományos kísérlet és a belőle levonható következtetések széles körű alkalmazását a restaurátori munkában.

On the ethics of chemistry in the protection of objects of art

In the article the author calls attention to the fact that during the modern restoration of objects of art the ageing, stability and the reversibility-irreversibility behaviour of the utilized materials must also be taken into consideration. He proposes the utilization of UV-active materials for complementing works and the comprehensive application of the results of the scientific experiments as well as the conclusions which can be deducted from them in the work of restoration.

Chemieethik im Kunstgegenstandsschutz

Im Artikel richtet der Verfasser die Aufmerksamkeit darauf, dass man bei der modernen Restaurierung von Kunstgegenständen aiich die Alterung. Stabilität und das Reversi- bilitäts'-Irreversibilitätsverhalten der verwendeten Materialien in Betracht nehmen soll. Er bringt in Vorschlag die Anwendung von UV-aktiven Stoffen bei der Ergänzung und die weitgehende Ausnützung der wissenschaftlichen Forschungen sowie die der davon ziehenden Schlussfolgerungen in der Restaurationsarbeit.
