A szakdolgozat témája három egymást követő kort képviselő - újbirodalmi, kései kori és Ptolemaiosz-kori - egyiptomi festett fa múmia-koporsó összehasonlító vizsgálatai, valamint teljes és részbeni restaurálása. Az összehasonlító vizsgálat kiterjedt: a koporsók felépitésére, külső formájára, díszítésére, festett ábrázolásokra, a faanyag és festékréteg vizsgálatára, a koporsók, valamint az újbirodalmi és kései kori koporsókban lévő múmiák kártevőire. Készült a múmiákról röntgenfelvétel és mikrobiológiai vizsgálat. Továbbá tartalmazza a szakdolgozat a tárgyak restaurálás előtti leírását, a restaurálás folyamatát. Comparative analysis and restoration of Egyptian mummy cases

The subject of the paper consists of the comparative investigations and the full, respectively partial restoration of three painted wooden mummy-cases of Egypt representing three consecutive periods - that one of the new empire, the late period and the Ptolemios period. The comparative investigations were dealing with the construction, exterior form and decoration of the mummy-cases, as well as with the painted representations, examination of the wooden material and paint layer, moreover with the parasites of the mummy-cases and mummies found in the late period mummy-cases. X-ray photographs and microbiological investigations of the mummies have also been made.

In addition the paper contains the description of the state of the objects before restoration and gives information about the process of the restoration. (Protection against the parasites, cleaning, conservation, completion and retouching. )

Komparative Analyse und Restaurierung zweier Ägyptischen Mumienhüllen

Das Thema der Arbeit umfasst die Komparationsuntersuchungen, beziehungsweise die totale und partielle Restaurierung von drei egyptischen, gemahlten, hölzernen Mumienhüllen, die drei aufeinander folgende Perioden - nämlich die Periode des neuen Reiches, die Spätperiode und die Ptolemaios Periode - repräsentieren. Die Komparationsuntersuchungen erstrecken sich auf die Konstruktion, Aussenform, Dekoration der Mumienhüllen, weiterhin auf die gemahlten Abbildungen, auf die Holzmaterialuntersuchungen und Farbschichtanalyse, sowie auf die Schädlinge der Sarge und der, in den spätperiodischen Mumienhüllen befindlichen Mumien. Es wurden Röntgenaufnahmen und mikrobiologische Untersuchungen von den Mumien gemacht.

Weiterhin enthält die Arbeit die Beschreibung des Zustandes der Gegenstände vor der Restaurierung und macht den Restaurierungsvorgang (nämlich die Schädlingsbekämpfung, Reinigung, Konservierung und Retusche) bekannt.
