RESTORING OF THE BAGPLATE OF KISKUNFÉLEGYHÁZA

Summary

The bagplate was found in 1970. It is very worn due to oxidation, extremely friable and its left side is incomplete. The frontplate is made of chased silver- gilt and the backplate of copper. The mechanical impurities, the mineral sediments and the patina chlorid were removed from the frontplate by Argentol solution and from the backplate by Komplexon. In order to avoid further damages, the surface was coated with poly-amyl-metacry late and sticked with the adhesive

I. S. -12 cyanoacrylate. The completion was made with synthetic matter casted into silicon negative, the surface of which had been percipitated by leaf-metal through chemical processing. (Table XLIX-LI. Fig. 120-125.)

DIE RESTAURIERUNG DES SABELBLECHS VON KISKUNFÉLEGYHÁZA

Zusammenfassung

Das Sabelblech ist im Jahre 1970 erschlossen worden. Der Oxidation zufolge ist es stark abgewetzt, ausserordentlich maimig und seine linke Seite ist mangel-- haft. Die Vorderplatte ist eine handgeschmiedete vergoldete Silberplatte, die hintere ist aus Kupfer. Bei der Vorderplatte wurde zur Entfernung der mechanischen Beschmutzungen, der mineralischen Ansetzungen und des Chlorids des Edelrosts Argentol-Lösung verwendet, die Rückseite wurde mit Komplexon gerenigt. Zur Vorbeugung von weiterer Beschädigung wurde die Oberfläche mit Poli-Amil-Metakrilat überzogen. Das Kleben geschah mit I. S-12 Cyanoacrylate.

Die Ergänzung wurde aus, in einem aus Silikon verfertigten Negativ Plaststoff erzeugt, auf dessen Oberfläche mit chemischem Verfahren Metallsilber ausgefällt wurde. (Tafel XLIX-LI. Abb. 120-125.)- 180 -
