A Tiszáninneni Református Egyházkerület Levéltára (Archives of the Cistibiscan Reformed Church District)

As regards organization, the archives is a part of the Reformed Scientific Collections of Sárospatak. * The archival material totals 360 running metres. The oldest piece dates from 1270. There are 25 charters prior to Mohács, but the family archives may yield more. The Zsoldos collection contains records of a mixed provenance between 1294 and 1912. Beside the records of the government of the church district and the college also charters and guild papers are embraced by the collection, provided with indices of dates, places and names. The archival material of the Cistibiscan Reformed Church District contains journals of the district sessions (1745-1950), canonical visitations (1772-1879), account books (1767-1950), records of assemblies (1895-1950), of the episcopal office (1868-1950) and of the district court (1912-1942). The material of the Sárospatak Reformed College, not attached to the Zsoldos collection, embraces school registers and tables on the studies (16171847), journals of the directorate (1883-1950) and of the school board (1850-1950), further nineteenth and twentieth century papers of the director, the economic committee, the attorney, of the academy of law, the public school, the teachers' training college and the "lyceum", the boarding house and the youth associations. The records of the Miskolc Reformed Public School from 1821 to 1948 are also in archival custody. Among the deaneries the records of the Abauj (1689-1950), the Borsod (1596-1950), the Felsoborsod (1799-1950), the Torna-Ung-Gomor (16871922) and the Alsózemplén (1623-1950) deaneries are represented by diocesan papers, church and school visitations, accounts, conscriptions of estates and revenues, papers of the dean, the presidium and the parishes. The papers of the borough and compossessorate Sárospatak from 1567 to 1910 are also in archival custody. As deposits we mention the papers of the Bethlen (1868-1950), the Dókus (1288-1846), the Lónyay (1270-1946) and the Vay (1334-1922) families. The research room is open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on weekdays, but we are at disposal also in the afternoon on appointment. Reproductions may be made. Dr. Sándor KONCZ
