Chamber to the bishopric. The Protocollum functionum episcopalium (17901889) is a daily journal of the bishop's acts. The most important part of the so-called Chancellery and Court Christian archives pertains to the government of the diocese. Among them the group of Publico-ecclesiastica keeps the decrees from the ruler and the organs of government with the answers given to them, the Fundationalia touches foundations, the seminary and retired priests, the Religionaria pertains to people of non-Catholic religion, the Litteraria to instruction and teachers, the Intranea to the parishes and priests, the Extranea to other dioceses. Beside the records of church government there is an important archival group, the Scholaria, embracing the records of the diocesan schools and another, that of the Court Christian, containing the records of ecclesiastical jurisdiction. Among the separately managed series we mention the Visitationes canonicae, the Rationes parochiarum, the budgets of schools and parishes and the duplicates of registers. The Archives preserve also the records of the finance department of the bishopric, those of the Seminary and those of the Székesfehérvár provostship of Our Lady. A repertory of the Archives was published by the Archival Board, elaborated by Lajos Nagy, under the title ,A székesfehérvári püspökség levéltára" (Archives of the Bishopric of Székesfehérvár), Budapest, 1958. This work makes the records accessible to research. A research room in the episcopal palace is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Monday to Friday. János SULYOK
