Under the title "A Honvédelmi Minisztérium szervezeti változásai a Horthy-korszakban" (Organisational changes in the Ministry of Defence in the Horthy-period) studies have been published in the Hadtörténelmi Közlemények (Military History Bulletin) vol. 1967, Nos 2, 4 and in the Levéltári Szemle (Archival Review) vol. 1971, Nos 1 to 3. The material of the Archives is accessible to foreign researchers up to 1938, home researchers up to 1944 inclusively, with permission. Applications are to be made in writing with the commander of the repository. The research room is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Monday to Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday. No research on Saturday. The Archives gives reproductions against payment. There is a microfilm reader in the research room. The Library for Military History, totalling about 120,000 volumes, is in the same building. It contains works mainly on Hungarian, in a smaller part universal military history.
