(Introduction)

We have good hope that through the principial direction of the Archival Board, the understanding care of the upkeepers and mainly the unselfish work of the archivists, basing on the results of the past period and correcting its faults, Hungarian archives will successfully cope with the tasks of the following years. # The following surveys of the single archives start with the name, postal adress, telephone number and the name of the director of the archives, then they give the most important historical data of the material and the institution. This is followed by the description of the archival material, the list of published finding aids to it and of the other archival publications.
