M.; Discussion More than 10% of the snail shells were inhabited (10.04%). This value in the case of some habitats and samples collected in the winter period was much higher. The highest value (26.95%) has been found in the specific sandy prairie grasses in the Danube-Tisza Mid­region. In the winter of 1996, the area was covered with snow for several weeks. The col­lection of snail shells was carried out immediately after the snow thawing. In the same area, we detected an inhabitation of 6% in May. The jumping spiders represented 83% of the total material. Apart from them, only a characteristic snail shell inhabitant theridiid species (Theridiidae), Euryopis quinqueguttata had a significant abundance (11.2%). Attention
