CONSERVATION MEASURES FOR SAXICOLE SPECIES IN GRÄDI§TEA MUNCELULUI CIOCLOVINA NATURE PARK Gheorghe Lucian STRATULÄT Administrafia Parcului Natural Gradijtea Muncelului Cioclovina lucian.stratulat@yahoo.com Abstract: Grádistea Muncelului-Cioclovina Nature Park is a protected area, which aims for the protection and conservation of habitats and species important natural flora, fauna, forest, hydrological, geological, palaeontological and soil. Floristic investigations (Saxicola cormoflora) within PNGMC were performed in 2013—2014 and focused on plant species in existing saxicole karst areas and nature reserves. Saxicole species that were studied and monitored included those of community interest, strictly protected, endemic and of national interest, in nature reserves (eg Crivadiei gorges) and karst areas across the park (Cioclovina, Piatra Rope, areas with caves, potholes, etc.). The study took place in PNGMC, in some areas of the park meant for integrated protection, namely: §ura Mare Cioclovina-Piatra Rope; Cheile Crivadiei-Comärnicel- Perete; Complexui carstic Rächijeaua - Tecuri; Dealul Bolii. Some of the plant species found in saxicole habitats: Dianthus spiculifolius, Melampyrum bihariense, Hieracium transsilvanicum, Helleboruspurpurascens, Sedum hispanicum, Cytisus albus, Cytisus austriacus, Euonymus verrucosus, Dictamnus albus, Silene armeria, Silene latifolia ssp alba, Sorbus aucuparia, Saxifraga cuneifolia, Daphne mezereum, Asplenium trichomanes, scolopendrium Asplenium, Asplenium ruta-pickling, Cardamine bulbifera, Carex montana, Clematis alpina, Thymus comosus, Erysimum comatum, vernus Crocus, Anemone nemorosa, Silene Saxifraga, cordatum Symphytum, Pulmonaria rubra, Daphne mezereum, Lonicera xylosteum, borbasii Sorbus, Syringa vulgaris, Hepatica nobilis, Soldanela sp. etc. Conservation measures proposed for the studied plant species (endemic strictly protected, rare, community interest and priority) are: Banning the collection of species by tourists, locals, shepherds; Prohibit the abandonment of waste and deposite them in dedicated facilities; Prohibition of unfair collection for the therapeutic use of saxicole species; Preventing access appropriate animal species habitat; Awareness for tourists on using only the marked trails, avoiding the formation of adjacent paths, along which the vegetation is destroyed; Information for shepherds, local communities and tourists (discussion, leaflets, notices) the importance of saxicole species and the habitats they vegetate.
