The exhibition was dedicated to the Symposium “65 years from the creation of the Botanical Garden of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy ofTargu-Mure§.” It was intended to bring public attention to some plant species from the museum’s collections used in modern cosmetics, but also in the traditional one, as well as some natural products used in cosmetics (Fig. 9). The exhibition was attended by about 1000 people, mainly university public: prestigious professors from institutions of higher education in Romania, specialists from the Botanical Gardens in Romania, students, etc., thus fulfilling one of the objectives of the museum in 2013, that of attracting new public. The sponsors of the event were S.C. Cosmetic Plant S.A.; S.C. Hofigal Export Import S.A.; S.C. Farmec S.A., who provided cosmetic products in which these medicinal plants can be found. Then, in the honor of the National Day of Romania, the museum matinee “Romanian Flag in the Natural World, ’’was organized in cooperation with the National College ‘Alexandru Papiu Ilarian” of Targu-Mure$, secondary school “George Co§buc” of Targu-Mure§ and secondary school “Mihai Viteazul” of Targu-Mure§, a theme miniexhibition entitled “Flag Representatives in the Natural World” whose stars were four birds protected by law, having Romanian tricolor plumage colours, presented as authentic exhibits (Fig. 11 a, b). The cultural activities organized by the museum and at the museum, on the National Day of Romania, are intended to be homage to ancestors who have made possible our presence at the great feast of the Romanian nation. The museum pedagogical component, related to the miniexhibition consisted of a projection in which curiosities about the birds on display were presented and also a workshop on museum pedagogy /creativity, where students recreated the exposed birds from puzzle pieces (Fig. 12 a, b). Also, a student from National College “Alexandru Papiu Ilarian” of Targu-Mure§ made a power point presentation which concerns the Union of Bessarabia with Motherland Romania.
