Daniela-Ramona BOTOS - pieces that cannot expose several reasons: either they are too small or are only interesting for a small number of connoisseurs in natural sciences. Materials and methods The department of Natural Sciences of the County Museum held, at its premises at no. 24, Horia Street, and at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy from Targu-Mure§, five thematic and collection temporary exhibitions on various cultural events included in the Plan of Activities of the Museum for 2013. All these exhibits were entered into the cycle of capitalization of the rich and precious exhibition heritage of the Museum. The temporary exhibitions cycle started on February 21,2013, when for the International Mother Language Day the collection miniexhibition “Macrophyte Algae from the Romanian Black Sea Coast and Beyond... "was organized. Since 2011, the Department of Natural Sciences of the County Museum has been marked this day by organizing a temporary miniexhibition and a round table dedicated to the specificity of the material exposed. The stars are mobile cultural assets of the museum heritage belonging to Romanian, Hungarian and German collectors. The activities are aimed at the school aged public, permissive and without preconceptions. The initiative for the museum activities to mark this event was based on the following findings:- the local community is ethnically and culturally diverse; — the department has collections illustrating this diversity; — a diverse museum heritage must address a diverse community. The objectives of the museum by marking this event are: promoting multiculturalism, highlighting the common elements that give the specificity of the community and the sharing of values, forming a civic and intellectual of collaborative behavior, exploiting the museum’s collections, attracting a large number of visitors from different ethnicities. The stars of the mini exhibition in 2013 were three genuine exhibits, which are three exotic algae, selected from the macrophytic algae collection “Daciana Sava” acquired by the museum in 2007. The pedagogical component of the Museum, related to the miniexhibition, consisted of a round table, accompanied by a videoprojection in which curiosities from the world of algae exposed were presented, in German as well (Fig. 3). The editorial component consisted in making a banner, invitations, posters popularising the event and some bookmarks - souvenir, with prints of these algae (Fig. 1, Fig. 2). The event was attended by 53 people, 51 Romanian and German students and 2 adults, from National College “Unirea” from Targu-Mure§ and Secondary School “Friedrich Schiller” from Targu-Mure§. Then, on March 5, 2013, a temporary exhibition themed “Pairs in the Wild”was opened. The purpose of the exhibition was to valorify the creatures in pairs (male and female) of the museum’s collections. The exhibition brought to public attention from Mure? 66 authentic exhibits some together with auxiliary exhibits (photos, where there was no pair or where we wanted to illustrate the various situations of life of the exposed animals: fighting between males, pair formation and courtship rituals and mating), representing 62 pairs living creatures in the animal kingdom and plants: 18 pairs of insects (among which 12 pairs of exotic butterflies stood out), 8 species of exotic mollusks, 14 pairs of birds (including the emu, the national bird of Australia), 2 pairs of 154
