Uniform altitudinal landforms, low landform energy, landslides, valleys with radial-excentric character, ponds, and short rivers without terraces, are many features of the Transylvanian Plain. Some notable exceptions are Fize§, Párául de Cámpie, and Comlod streams, which have discontinuous terraces. Agricultural land occupies about 90% of the total area and forests only 9% with significant differences from one place to another. The studied area overlaps the area of gas domes and the Tortonian-Sarmatian formations composed of marl, clay, sand, volcanic tuffs and conglomerates on the edges. Transylvanian Plain climate is moderate, with differences between north and south, as well as a number of topoclimates specific to broad valleys areas. 10 Judetul Mures
