Zoology

Alexandria CRISAN, Stefan BÁLINT ?___’_2__________ such as forests, pastures, meadows, underwoods, low-density forests, riverside coppice, ruderal vegetation, dhe material collected was killed in 70% alcohol, kept dry in glass tubes. Measurements were made in the laboratory by the binocular magnifier relying on the specialized works developed by the authors mentioned in the references [8.10]. The research area includes the Välenii de Mure? Depression (Islands of the Mure? River, Vatava) the Toplita — Deda pass (Gurghiului, Cälimani Mountains), the Gheorgheni Depression (Mure? River valley, Vo?lobenilor Mountains, Gurghiu Mountains, Giurgeului Mountains), Nature Reserves, protected areas (Cälimani National Park, the Mociar Forest, the Nyeres swamp, meadow with daffodils from Gurghiu, the resonance spruce forest in Lapulna, massive Royal Throne, the motleyed tulip reserve in Valenii de Mure?). The research stations comprise various types of forest habitats (spruce forests, beech forests, coniferous forests with beech, deciduous forests) and grassland type (mesophilic meadows, mesohygrophilous meadows, mesoxerophilous meadows, pastures, glades, low-density forests, riverside coppice, marshes, ruderal vegetation, underwoods, artificial landscapes) with a range of altitudes in between 365—1281 m (Fig. 1, 2). Results and discussion Research conducted in the upper basin of the Mure? River, during the years 2005-2009 from May to September at 55 collection stations. We found a total of 227 Chrysomelid species belonging to 48 subfamilies (Table 1). The best represented subfamilies are the Halticinae with 104 species in 17 genera, the Chrysomelinae with 52 species of 15 genera, followed by the Chryptocephalinae with 27 species of 2 genera, the Cassidinae with 15 species of a single genus, Galerucinae with 11 and Clytrinae with 11 species out of 4 genera, the Criocerinae with 4 species and 2 genera, respectively the Donaciinae, Zeugophorinae, Lamprosomatinae with one species each.
