The preoccupation of the „Málnássy László" Mycological Society from Tärgu-Mures ______________regarding the popularization of macromycetes______________ does not specify who and what qualifications can meet the position of inspector. Although the law has appeared four years ago, it is still forbidden to trade in markets mushrooms from the spontaneous flora. Our organization, together with the other fungal associations in the country have submitted several proposals, complaints, petitions to the government on this issue, but they often got lost between the political struggles, or have been returned or saying that solving this problem does not get care at their Ministries. Meanwhile more and more cases of mushroom poisoning occur, mushroom poisoning caused by ignorance and lack of knowledge. In some cities (Oradea, Sfántu Gheorghe), authorities found a compromise: they recognized specialist qualifications similar to those of members of our society, and on certain days, allowed the sale of mushrooms from the spontaneous flora, provided that they be checked by the inspector in the field. In Tárgu-Mures, however, the Market Department are not so sympathetic with it and therefore we can not exploit inspector specialized diplomas for mushrooms. However, because of advertising flyers, in which appear details of inspectors, they are requested to examine and identify mushrooms collected by hikers, or purchased of the occasional merchants. We consider our preoccupations in informing the population about the possibility of mushroom intoxications very benefic. Our work has not been in vain. In Mure$ county has not been registered any deadly mushroom intoxications lately. The number of those interested in mycology is still in growth. More and more people participate on our mushroom gathering trips; even children and young families. They will share with others the knowledges about the relationship between humans and mushrooms.
