Rezi Botond, Nagy József-Gábor: Rescue Excavations at Chinari "Mociar" (Mureş County)

90 RJEZI BOTOND, Nagy )ózsef-Gábor 75 m), area 2 (75 x 80 m) and area 3 (30 x 75, 15 x 75 m). The 2nd and 3rd area were set out at the northern and southern edges of the site. In the centre of the settlement only a small surface, area 1, could be surveyed (Fig. II, see results of the prospections). The first three sections were laid out west and south from area 3; the last two sections were laid out also in area 3, based on the anomalies measured by the magnetometer surveys (see Fig. II/S4 and S5). As shown in the description of the sections, features C002 and C003 were found in S4, and feature C004 in S5. The soil resistivity measurements were carried out approximately in the centre of the settlement between area 1 and 3 (see Fig. II/axis R1-R4), on a length of 250 m. The first 200 m cut through the settlement on the shorten side, from the edge of the hill to the access road on the plateau, 50 m were laid perpendicularly on this axis, at the length of 100 m (Fig. Ill, see results of the prospections). The results of the soil resistivity measurements, confirmed the general stratigraphycal image obtained by traditional archaeological methods. The study and ascertainment of the prospections’ results will have to be fulfilled in the near future. Catalogue “Bag-shaped” Vessels 1.
