Majoritatea fragmentelor sunt superficial netezite, arderea este exclusiv oxidantä iar ca degresant s-а folosit Indeosebi nisip fin, §amotä, pleava. Luänd In considerare tipológia formelor §i a ornamentelor, a tehnicii de executie precum §i a analogiilor apropiate situl de la Ogra se incadreazä in prima fazä a culturii Cotofeni. In 2005, after verifying a quarry in the area of Ogra, the archaeologists from the Mure§ County Museum identified a settlement belonging to the Late Copper Age1. Because of the advanced stage of the excavations from the quarry, aspects like the size or the character of the settlement can not be specified. The prehistoric habitation is situated at the margin of the village, south of it, on a lower platform near the railway, in the vicinity of the communal road Dc77 which leads to Giulu§. About 80 % of the site was damaged or destroyed because of the exploitations. There were no signs of fortification. The pottery presented below was collected from a narrow area and probably it belonged to an archaeological feature. In the Mure§ County there are about 80 settlements with discoveries from the Cotofeni culture2, known beginning with the 19th century, some of them well studied in the second half of the 20th century3. The archaeological material from Ogra-Quarry consists exclusively of potsherds. They belong to some typical pottery forms of the Cotofeni culture, such as cups, deep and shallow bowls, pots, beaker or jugs. Description of the Finds 1.
