THE CATALOGUE OF THE PETROGRAPHICAL COLLECTION OF THE NATURAL SCIENCE MUSEUM OF TÍRGU-MURE§ Summary The catalogue describes the petrografical collection of the Natural Science Museum of T?rgu-Mure§, which contains until now, 326 ascer­tained pieces. A part of these pieces is proceeding of investigation fields per­formed by dr. Bányai János, Konya István, Sarkány-Kiss Endre, Zrínyi Andrei from Tg.-Mure§ and by Bulichi Dumitru from Tarnita, Suceava county. An another part of rocks have been aquisitioned by Fikk Ladislau, Adorján Elisabeta and dr. Bányai János from Tg.-Mure§ and by Adámcsik Gyula from Criste§ti: also, we have one donation of Oroian Silvia from Tg.-Mure§. The determination have been made by dr.Bányai János from Tg - Mure§ and by dr.Har Nicolae from the Cluj-Napoca University,the Faculty of Biology, Geography and Geology. In the catalogue there is all three big groups of rocks well-known: sedimentations, magmatics and metamorphics. The sedimentation rocks described (30 species) belongs to 7 classes, 11 subclasses, 13 groups, 12 subgroups and 2 varietys. From the magmatic rocks described the ptatoonics (4 species) be­longs to 4 groups, 3 subgroups and 1 variety: the volcanic rocks (13 species) belongs to 5 groups, 3 subgroups, 3 varietys and 2 transforma­tions. The methamorphic rocks described (21 species) belongs to 2 classes, 7 groups and 3 subgroups
