5 THE IRON AGE IN TRANSILVANIA 15 lines from Hallstatt В. - Porumbeni Mari stage is known from GTrla Mare culture.21 As a conclusion we can say that the oldest stage of the Iron Age in South-East Transylvania is represented by the Gáva culture, wich penetrated from the West in the valley of Mures and Olt vallies. The second stage is represented by the first level from Red, (I.), which besides a substance from the Bronze Age, had connections with the West. The first stage from Reci, (I.), represents an area of spread through the Carpathian mountains, this fact being proved by the ceramics founded at Magala upon Prut, from Holihrady culture.22 Finally we can say that besides the local cultures from the Bronze Age we must keep in mind the influence of the Gáva culture, which was attestated in this region at the beginning of the Iron Age. After these new discoveries we must reevaluate the storages of bronze objects, founded in the South-East of Transylvania. 21 VI. Dumitrescu. Necropola de incineratie din epoca bronzului de la Cima.
