Editoron his"46th" Birthday!

On April 27th, those most intimately involved in the writing, editing, photography, distribution and finances of MAGYAR NEWS, and family members gathered at the Pearl of Budapest restaurant in Fairfield for a surprise party to help founding editor Joseph Balogh, celebrate his "46th"(?) birthday.

For the last 12 years, he has researched and written innumerable articles, spurred on potential writers to contribute material, edited that material, and put together 132 issues of MAGYAR NEWS! That's an awful lot of work, even for a 46(?)-year-old!!!!

But Joseph Balogh is not merely a writer and editor; more importantly, by publishing MAGYAR NEWS, he has become an ambassador of our common Hungarian heritage, Hungarian history and Hungarian culture. We can never be grateful enough to him for what he has done and what he continues to do. We salute him on this, his milestone birthday! Isten éltesse még soká! (May God give you long life!)

Right Rev. Dr. John Butösi, wrote several articles, with Rózsika - Gypsy Rose digging up past memories.

— Joseph with his wife Claudia, his son Justin, and Father Stephen Galambos who came from New Jersey, and writes articles on ancient Hungarian history.

I Dr. Alexander Havadtőy left, * history and actual happenings. He wrote the first article of the Magyar News 12 years ago.

Right.Dr. Balázs Somogyi writes on cultural exchange, and folkdancing.
