Pulcn ycur dancing slices The Magyar News mentioned the Táncház (dance house) a few times. It takes place at the Calvin church in Fairfield, CT. With several instructors, the participants learn a variety of dances. Included are salon dances and Hungarian folk dances. One of the instructors, Erika Géczy from New York, sees the possibility to expand the number of those who like to do folk dancing and create a group just for that. It is fun, good learning, and experiencing the Hungarian culture. The Pannónia Club is sponsoring the Táncház, and this already means success. Next to the women the men take their share in preparing the dishes, too. Every year it is a tradition to have a beef and venison gulyás dinner. The guest may choose between the two, or enjoy both. One has to keep in mind the palacsinta that follows the main dish. At other occasions the home made Hungarian kolbász becomes a tempting factor. Just the sight of it brings back memories of the Old Country. Besides the fundraising meal when the public has access to the dinner, the congregation has other times too when they sit down together and make a meal with the atmosphere of a family gathering. It is always Hungarian dishes cooked by Hungarian chefs. Time to time the dinner is spiced up by some Hungarian music, or with a few nice Hungarian poems. The person who has responsibility to get the venison is also a former actor who treats the guests with reciting poems in a most beautiful Hungarian language. He is well known among us, he is Mihály Czinkota. There is something more I would like to say about a photos. The lovely and talented young lady Zsóka Sedenszki shot them. We will see more from her.
