On the left are the late Fr. Szocs and Fr. Nemeth in front of the altar, the wall behind has ellaborate painting suggesting an architectural design.. Through the decades the priests managed to save up funds strching into the Million dollar range. Above, celebrating the renovation of the church are Fr. Szlezak, Fr. Pintye - who is responsible for the changes - and Bishop Egan New Face Old Spirit I St. Emery R.C. Church recently went through lan elaborate renovation, or we may say a Irejuvenation. New heating and air-conditionling system, also bathrooms were built. The loltar area was extended and opened up. The ceiling paintings were restored and the paint-1 ling depicting St. Stephen and St Emery, was extended to resemble the original painted by \KaroIy Lotz. To the left: A view of the church before the renovation. As you could see, only the important parts of the wall painting behind the altar are kept. On the ceiling the background of the group with St. Emery is changedfrom the deteriating gold to light blue. There is a marble railing in front of the altar and the pews extending in the front make the area too tight for the funerals. Above: the newly repainted image.
