HUNGARIANS ON THE INTERNET László Papp, who is the president of the American Region of the World Federation of Hungarians, every month gives us a report on matters that are of concern to the Hungarian community. This time we are informed about the Internet, also what the Hungarians in the world have to do with it. There are thousands of documents that are available on http://www.mek.iif.hu. The Senior Hungarian Boyscouts with the Hungary Network Kft. put thirty Hungarian history books in English onto the Internet. You could find it on http://www.net.hu/corvinus. András Simon, retired professor of the Ohio University found that the shelves at the libraries are ladened with anti- Hungarian books and for some reason the most important Hungarian books disappear from there. With the support of the Mississippi State University he is putting them on the Internet under ( a long code) r Experienced in all phases of TAX and ACCOUNTING Allan Chomortany, CPA FAIRFIELD LOCATION Phone:(203)335-1935 jj http://www.msstate.edu/archives/historv/ hungarv.htlm. András Simon is trying to locate a book that he would like to put on the Internet. This is MACARTNEY: Hungary and her Successors. If you or somebody has it let us know. The credit frames claim that the stoiy if Active but the places and persons are actually existing. Present or past but they are true. In this case it is Count Almassy. His authenticity as a Hungarian is not elaborated on. There is only one scene where he is listening with the female star to an old Hungarian folksong, Szeretlek, szeretlek. This music pops up later on a few times in the background to give it the Hungarian color. They claim that this is one of the best movies. Whichever way it keeps one’s attention for three whole hours with the emotional response continuously building up till the final moral conclusion at the end of this time. Even though the character could have been any other nationality, but those who see the film will cany in their memory a Hungarian with all the positive emotions. Probably the choice for a Hungarian was the right one because, to think of it, the general romantic emotions fit the real life picture. Take time out to see the movie while it is still in our area. The big screen lends itself better to get under the spell. Also your romantic other half won’t break your concentration by offering some TV goodies to munch on. MARCH 2.
