4. oldal MAGYAR EGYHÁZ Meditation According to Joel Osteen Father, This is a great day. You are guiding and directing my steps. Your favor is surrounding me. Goodness and mercy are following me. I am excited about today! I know that You are in control. I know today could be the day that things turn around. This could be the day I see my miracle. I know that You are at work in my life. I know that your timing is perfect, so I’m going to stay in an attitude of faith and trust You to do what is best. I thank you that you are fighting our battles for us. I thank you that You are showing us some of that immeasurable, far and beyond favor. This seed keeps growing getting stronger and stronger. Today I’m doing something great. I am excelling in my career. I’m serving enthusiastically other people. I am breaking out of this mold and rise to new heights. I am anticipating good things. I expect circumstances to change in my favor. I expect people to go out of their way to help me. I expect the favor of God. I expect to rise above life’s challenges. People go out of their way to help me. I am at the right place at the right time. God wants me to get my hopes up. Good things are coming my way. I am experiencing the goodness of God. I am taking a conscious decision an act of my will, to maintain and keep my mind filled with thoughts. I am keeping my minds set on God. I establish fresh patterns in my life. I am reprogramming my mind with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. I am thinking positive thoughts of victory, thoughts of abundance, thoughts of favor, thoughts of hope; good, pure, excellent thoughts. I have a vision of victory. I can rise to a new level. Always higher and higher. I see myself getting stronger, healthier, happier, my life filled with God’s blessings, favor, and victory. I am seeing myself as happy, healthy and whole. I visualize myself being happy, healthy, and whole. I am expanding my vision. I am focusing on what I could be. In reality I am already what I am. I let faith rise in my heart. My faith is elevated. I am in an atmosphere of victory where I am built up. I am seeing myself receiving good things. I have the favor of God. I have his blessings. God has great things in store for me. I keep my mind set in the right direction. I am contemplating the goodness of God toward me. I believe God for bigger and bigger things. He wants to open opportunities for me. God has more in store for me. He wants me to enjoy all his gifts. He wants to do a new thing in my life. God’s dream for my life is so much bigger and greater than I can imagine, but He helps me to imagine it. I dare to dream with Him always a little bigger. He has oceans He wants me to enjoy. God is my source, and His creativity and resources are unlimited. He gives me ideas. He gives me dreams. He can do anything. God is a progressive God. He wants me to go further and further. I am expecting increase. I receive supernatural promotion in every area of my life. I refuse to live in mediocrity. I make a difference with my life. I fulfill my God-given destiny. I am the person God wants me to be. I believe for bigger and better things. I have the supernatural favor of God. I rise above the mentality of defeat and mediocrity. I believe for more. I can go further and further. I can do more, have more, and be more. I develop a “can-do” mentality. When times are tough, I don’t give up. I just keep on keeping. I do my part, and God does His. My best days are ahead of me. I stir myself up. God has more in store for me. I break through the limitations of the past and my mind dwells on fresh, positive attitudes of faith. Breaking those barriers changes my life and the life of my children. I am victorious in my mind. I never loose battle and never loose a war. God is just. He sees all. I take the limits off what God can do in my life. I change my thinking, God changes my life. He wants me to live an overcoming life of victory. I get ready for more. I make room for increase. I have more and more favor and supernatural blessings. I make room in my own thinking. I am trusting God for more. I may have all I need. Today is a new day. God wants to do a new thing in my life. God’s desire for me is joy, peace and happiness. I keep my mind moving in the right direction. (Joel Osteen, Your Best Life Now, Warner Faith, 2004, 310 p.) Submitted by Rev. Árpád Drótos WHAT IT MEANS TO BE POOR... One day a father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the firm purpose of showing his son how poor people can be. They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family. On their return from the trip, the father asked his son: ‘How was the trip?’, ‘It was great, dad.’, ‘Did you see how poor people can be?’ the father asked. ‘Oh, yeah’ said the son. ‘So what did you learn from the trip?’ asked the father. The son answered, ‘I saw that we have one dog and they had four. We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek that has no end. We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night. Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon. We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our sight. We have servants who serve us, but they serve others. We buy our food, but they grow theirs. We have walls around our property to protect us, they have friends to protect them.’ With this, the boy’s father was speechless. Then his son added, ‘Thanks dad ... for showing me how poor we are.’
