22. oldal MAGYAR EGYHÁZ ban esketési szolgálatot végzett, amelyet a menyasszony részéről felnőtt keresztelés és konfirmáció előzött meg. A nyári hónapokban több aktív egyháztagunk gyülekeztünktől távol tölti a vakációját, így közösségi életünk kissé lelassul. Hála Istennek, hogy erre az időszakra és az év többi alkalmaira is többen kibérlik a Zágonyi termet esküvő vagy születésnapi party-k megrendezésére, amely komoly bevételt jelent közösségünknek.Osszel ismét nagyobb erőbedobással folytatjuk szolgálatunkat, újra beindulnak a bibliaórák és a különböző rendezvények. Augusztus közepén gyülekezetünkből többen részt vettünk Los Angelesben a hagyományos Szent István napi ökumenikus hálaadó istentiszteleten, amelyre immáron közel 15 éve gyűlik össze Dél-Kalifomia magyarsága. Egyházunk tagjai együtt örülünk orginistánk és felesége Csaba Péter és Mária újszülött kisgyermekének, aki az Eszter, Patrícia nevet kapta. Isten áldása legyen a családon. Az Ontarioi gyülekezet büszke egyik tagjára, aki részt­vevője lesz október elején Görögországban az Athénban foly­tatódó nyári paralimpiai játékoknak. Minden nyári olimpia után néhány héttel később megrendezésre kerül a mindenkori olimpiák színhelyén a mozgássérültek olimpiai versenye is. Egyházunk tagja Becsei János, aki csecsemőkori bénulásból épült fel, úszásban versenyez Magyarország színeiben, s immár az ötödik para-olimpián vesz részt. Eddig minden versenyen dobogós helyeket szerzett, több arany-, ezüst-, és bronzérem nyertese, ezzel is öregbítve magyar hazánk hírnevét. Becsei János családjával feleségével és kislányával Califomiában él, közel egyházunkhoz, aktívan támogatva közösségünket. Követ­kező számunkban beszámolunk a paralimpiai eredményekről. We invite you to become a member of our family. Yesterday and Today Thank You... The Hungarian Ministry started to work 2002 March, since then we had a lot of changes and progress in our Church. We just had a few visitors when we started, but now 35-65 visitors taking part in our Sunday services and we have 162
