NEWS FROM OUR CONGREGATIONS — EGYHÁZI HÍREK — ALLEN PARK, MICHIGAN Pastors: Dr. Thomas L. Burbridge, Attila Szemesi 9901 Allen Road, Allen Park, Michigan 48101 Telephone: (313) 382-1001 Chief Elder: +Robert Bone’ One of the most encouraging aspects of our church involves the men who are participating in our monthly men’s prayer breakfast. These men participate in various ministries within the church and are actively involved with the Promise Keepers in the Detroit area. Our men presently meet every Monday evening for Bible Study and prayer. The next Detroit Promise Keeper Rally will be May 15 and 16. Nine men from our church have signed up to attend this year. Last year a group of men went to the Detroit rally and then decided to go to Washington, D.C., where men from all over the United States gathered for a time of prayer and repentance. As spring approaches, we look forward to the planning stages of our next community Vacation Bible School here in Allen Park. Last year we had 150 children attend our Vacation Bible School, which was held on five consecutive evenings. Our church hosted the Bible School last year, and this year it will be held at a local Catholic church. We anticipate a large crowd of children who will come to study the life of Jesus. We continue to have Bible Studies at our church on Sunday morning before our worship time and during the week both in the evening and during the day. Confirmation classes meet every Saturday morning at which time our young people learn about our church and God’s word. One of our new programs started this year at our church is our Missionary Program. We now contribute to the monthly support of a number of missionaries around the world. It is blessing to share in their ministry as they communicate to us how God is using our prayers and financial contributions. We look forward to serving the Lord in many ways in our church here in Allen Park and ask you to pray for us. Rev. A február 15-i egyházközségi közgyűlésen
