Good food provided by the excellent cooks of our church at reasonable prices in a friendly atmosphere bring in many “outsiders” who attend our monthly dinners regularly. Holy Communion was served for the first Sunday in Lent on February 21st and was very well attended. On Sunday February 28 during our regular worship services, a beautiful handmade Lecturn with nameplate was donated to the church by the Dankovich family and friends in memory of Mrs. Vera Dankovich a long time faithful dedicated member of our church who passed away a year ago. The entire Dankovich family was present for these services. We still have 8 to 10 faithful choir members who meet every Wednesday evening for practice. Their anthems enhance our church services every Sunday. Bible Study classes are held on Tuesday evenings. Noodle makers meet every other Wednesday morning. English Services are held every Sunday at 10:00 AM. Sunday School Classes are also held at 10:00 AM on Sundays during the winter months only. Fellowship Club meets the last Sunday of each month at 7:00 PM. Various guest speakers are invited and a variety of games, etc. are also featured. These events are hosted by 2 different members of our church each month, who prepare and serve light refreshments. We have three candidates who will be taking their First Communion this year. They are Stacy Varga, Ginger Takacs and Jim Shubert. We are extremely thankful for all our good and faithful members who unselfishly donate their time, talents and financial support to the glory of God and our church. We are deeply grateful to God for all His blessings in the past and look forward to His special blessings in this New Year also. ALLEN PARK, Ml Lelkipásztorok: Ábrahám Dezső, ifj.
