MAGYAR GGYltóZ and the Women's Guild the congregation honored Dr. and Mrs. Harsanyi at a testimonial dinner on July 18. Former Bishop Louis Nagy offered prayers; the Rev. Andrew Hamza conducted this “affair-of-very-few­­and-very-short-speeches.” Chief Elder Leo­nard Sendelsky, the Rev. Andrew Hamza and Mayor John Tomczuk paid tribute to Dr. and Mrs. Harsanyi's services to church and com­munity. The mayor presented to Dr. Harsanyi a copy of the borough council’s resolution of commendation and a plaque of meritorius award. The Chief Elder, Guild President Ann Balka, Lorantffy Society President Mrs. Frank Csizmadia and Youth Fellowship President Guy Sendelsky presented farewell gifts. Dr. Fruzsina Harsanyi Garcia spoke in the name of the children congratulating their parents on this momentous "graduation.” Dr. Harsanyi, in his response, said that they may be retiring from the Carteret pulpit and organ but not from their love and prayers for this church and community. Baptism: Ryan Donald Tardiff, daughter of Donald Paul Tardiff and his wife, the former Mary Viola Milak; on July 5. Wedding: Jonathan Peter Bencivenga and Susan Marie Dombrowski; on August 1. Funerals: George Fischer, Sr., 73, on June 24; he was born in Travis, Staten Island, New York.—Alex Búzás, Sr., 88, on July 1; he was born in Pápa, Veszprém county, Hungary.— Mrs. Géza Budai, 65, on July 29; she was born as Elizabeth Erdélyi in Perth Amboy. Let us comfort the brokenhearted! DUQUESNE, PA. Funerals: James Lewis, on Saturday June 13th, interment followed in our cemetery. Mrs. Ann Fay Horvath on July 31st, inter­ment in Mt. Pleasant. Our Vacation Bible School was held from July 27th to July 31 st—with great success, and many guests. Harvest Home Communion was observed on August 2nd. McKeesport, pa. During this year up to August 2, we have had 3 young person joining the church through confirmation: Renee Irene Orris, Vincent John Papp and Steven Albert Torok. Two young couples were joined together in marriage: Michael R. Sorrels and Elizabeth M. Vozar.— Kalman L. Fejes and Cheryl L. West. Funerals: Frank Egyed, Sr. (not member), died: Feb. 19, 1981.—Mrs. Elizabeth Sedlock, born: May 5, 1915; died: April 11, 1981.— Mrs. Barbara (Borbala) Sipos, born: Nov. 1, 1890; died: April 15, 1981. Holy Communion: on August 2, 1981. 62 members participated in the Holy Communion at the English service and 30 members at the Hungarian service. Property improvements: New surface at the entrance to the garage of the parsonage. New rug to the parsonage at the family room. Other carpets of the whole pasonage were cleaned by professional cleaners. The central air conditioner of the parsonage was serviced and is working very well. We are getting ready for the "International Village”, this is a 3 days picnic in the park at the front of the church to be held on August 18, 19 and 20. Since all the buildings are air conditioned there is no great decrease in at­tendance during the Summer Sundays. ROEBLING, NJ On June 7, Pentecost Sunday, Melanie Elizabeth Soltész, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Soltész, and Sandra Jean Somogyi, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Somogyi, were Confirmed in the faith, and received their First Communion. The girls had prepared for Con­firmation by attending special classes for two years. The assisted in the Preparatory Service on June 6. We are proud of the girls and pray that they will continue to grow in knowledge and love of God. Todd N. Soltész graduated on May 27 from Mercer County Community College with an Associate's Degree in Science. On May 3, the Women's Guild-Lorantffy Nőegylet hosted the Twenty-Second Annual Conference of the Church Women United, Eastern Classis. Miss Lisa von Pier was guest speaker, and 68 delegates came form seven churches. It was a special time of fellowship for all present. Ezúton is hálás köszönetét mondunk egyházi munká­sainknak az önzetlen munkáért és egyházun­kért hozott áldozatért. Keresztelők: Megkereszteltük Cantwell Brian Micheál és Cherry gyermekét. Kereszt­­szülők lettek Máthé József és Hanoy Sharon. Ugyancsak megkereszteltük Máthé József Anthonyt, akinek szülei Máthé József és Ruth, keresztszülei pedig Buckhart Larry és Jeanette lettek. A megkeresztelt gyermekek a közel­múltban elhunyt Máthé Józsefnek, alliancei egyházunk utolsó gondnokának dédunokái. Esküvők: Megeskettük Ladich Pál Józsefet és Steward Connie Luannt, tanúk voltak Dako Roger és Gottwald Norma. Megeskettük Kovách Joseph Károlyt és Morris Donna Lynnt, tanúk voltak Karam Julianna és Kató János. Megeskettük Grund Michaelt és Pálin­kás Edithet, tanúk voltak Grund Grag és Adams Mikeann. Megeskettük Metcalf Clau­de Rollint és Seibert Charlene Kayt, tanúk voltak King James és King Nádié. Isten áldását kérjük az új párok életére. On May 31, the Youth Group held a Pizza Supper, and prepared the pizza themselves. Supper was followed with a slide show, featuring slides Bishop Abraham took in Roebling when he was minister here. Mr. Bert Bartha was projec­tionist. Mrs. Els Kroes, sister of Mrs. Joseph Varga, visited our church during her trip here from Holland, and was entertained at a reception after the service on May 31. The Women’s Guild will hold their final meeting of the summer by going out to dinner at the Cafe Gallery in Burlington. On June 15, 1981, Mr. Baldiszar Zigli died suddenly of a heart attack. His loss will be felt deeply by his wife Mary, his family and his many friends. Using the money they earned from their Chinese dinner and pizza supper, the Youth Group went to Hersheypark on July 31. They had an enjoyable day. Karen Harkel, Michele Jacoby, and Suzan­ne Jacoby attended the Youth Camp this year. They returned home having made new friends, having learned new ideas, and eager to go again next year. On September 19, Miss Susan Ellen Havas, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Havas, and Mr. Richard Thomas Scassero will be married. Rev. Johnson and Rev. Lelkészünk, mint a nyugati egyházmegye esperese augusztus 23-án vasárnap ünnepélyes keretek között veszi vissza egyházmegyénk gyülekezetei közé a miami Reformáció Magyar Egyházát. Tóth Tibor egyházunk volt lelkipász­tora. a nyugati egyházmegye esperese Daytona Beach, Floridában kórházba került, felépülé­séért imádkozunk, tagjaink sok szeretettel küldik jókívánságaikat s mielőbbi teljes fel­épülést kívánnak neki. A Nyolcadik Törzs című lap által szorgal­mazott “Magyar Örökségünk" című konfe­rencián augusztus 20—22-én Koroknay Sán­dor és neje és a lelkipásztor képviselték egyhá­zunkat.
