Our members on Christmas Day came to the Lord’s Table in fairly good number and our church was filled especially on Christmas Eve. Even though we do not have the final figures as yet, we already can see that the offering of the members of the congregation is higher than it was in the previous years. The blessing of God be upon the members, who cheerfully are helping our church. Starting in January 1978 and continuing until the end of the year, every Sunday in our Bulletin we had portions from the Bible printed, so that during the year the whole Bible should be read. We are very happy that quite a few members of the congregation have read the Bible from cover to cover. At the beginning of this year we printed a small booklet in which these parts are included and gave to every interested member. We hope that during this year even more members will read the Bible through, and those who have done so last year, will be able to read the Bible a second time. We would like to express our sympathy to the Botty Family and also to the members of our sister congregation for the loss of their pastor Emeritus the Rev. John Botty. God’s comforting power be with them.
