Magyar Egyház, 1977 (56. évfolyam, 1-12. szám)

1977-08-01 / 8-9. szám

10 MAGYAR EGYHÁZ The theme of the conference was “The Power of Prayer”, which was discussed by the members in three groups. David Ambrus, Paul Clayton and Rebecca Kaplar were the discussion leaders. Everyone enjoyed the educational and cultural excursions to Ford Motor Co., River Rouge Plant, the largest automobile factory in the world. They then visited the world famous Ford Museum and Greenfield Village. Many enjoyed the hymn singing and the religious colored motion pictures illustrating the theme of the conference. The time of farewell brought tears into the eyes of many young men and women and it seemed to parents and everyone, that this year’s conference was a memorable one. The same officers remained in the organization. Our church leaders in every congregation must face the question of reorganizing more effectively the youth work; those who worked with young people before, and are interested in giving a helping hand should come forward and offer their assistance. The time may be close, that the youth of our church and of the Calvin Synod may have a united National Youth Conference; the questions and problems in every church are similar and if we try to solve them unitedly, we may be able to reach more young people in both groups. ☆ ☆ Churches Vacant: The Bethlehem, Pa.
