12 MAGYAR EGYHÁZ The Women’s Guild of our church hosted an Interguild Social at which time the Reverend Eugene Gregory presented an inspiring Christian Chalk artistry. Our guest ladies were from Carteret, Staten Island, New Bruns­wick and Roebling. Vital statistics: Funeral: Mrs. An­drew Racz at the age of 81, Mr. John Piekarski at the age of 64 and Mr. Andrew M. Mkkelsen at the age of 68. Baptism: John Christian, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Gottstein. Wedding: Mr. Allen Rudders to Miss Sharon Moran. May God bless the union of this young couple. During the late summer months and into early fall the church has been busy with extensive renovations in prepara­tion for our 60th Anniversary Celebra­tion in October. The sanctuary has been freshly pa­pered and painted, the pulpit hand­somely refurnished, cushions for the pews purchased and a chalice as well. At the same time the parsonage was also newly paneled. Our new minister, the Rev. Raymond David Patch arrived and began his ministry here with his first service on the 28th of September. On October 12 a delegation from our church, headed by the new minister, participated in the Meeting of the Eas­tern Classis in Bethlehem. Pa. On October 19 we had a special Com­munion Service and Dinner to celebrate the Church’s 60th Anniversary. All members received a brief history of our 60 years as we looked forward to many more in service of Our Lord. Our Din­ner was well-attended and we partook in a savory dinner prepared by the men of the church. On October 26 the Ladies’ Guild gave a delightful Halloween Party for the children of the congregation who en­joyed the games and treats. On November 1 the Lorantffy Guild had a most successful Donut-Palacsinta- Csörge Sale. A wedding service was held for Miss Colleen Trainor and Mr. Ricciardo Lo- Monaco on Saturday, November 8. On Wednesday, November 12, there was a funeral service for a beloved sis­ter, Miss Elizabeth Csanyi who died Sunday, November 9 at the age of 61. TRENTON, N. J. Baptisms. October 10: Mrs. Elizabeth Herman, October 14: Mrs. Elizabeth Szabó, October 21: Mrs. Stephen Toth, October 27: Mr. Stephen Pokrocos, November 3: Joseph Papp. On October 26, we held our annual Reformation Day Dinner and our guest speaker was the Very Rev. Dr. Andrew Harsanyi, dean of tbe Eastern Classis. He gave an interesting talk on the 16th Century Reformation and in particular on the galley-slave Hungarian Refor­med and Lutheran ministers of the 17th Century. Also, at this dinner the con­gregation celebrated the pastor’s 10th anniversary in the Trenton Church. We wish to thank Dr. Harsanyi for com­bining his remarks on our historical remembrance and the anniversary into a dignified and meaningful occasion. Rev. and Mrs. Stephen Kovács wish to convey their appreciation for the many expressions of good wishes in the flow­ers, cards and letters they received. The graphic-picture of the church and pastor given by Mr. and Mrs. John Estok, Jr. was a special surprise. Our most sincere thanks to the church or­ganizations for their gifts and to all our dedicated men and women who planned and worked to make this oc­casion memorable.
