NEWS FROM THE CONGREGATIONS

ALLEN PARK, MICH.

After the Labor Day weekend the various organizations of the church resumed their activities: Sunday School, choirs, Youth Fellowship, Dorcas Guild, Ladies’ Aid, Golden Circle, Men’s Club, etc. All church members are expected

to participate in one or another organization.

The 10th Anniversary of the erection of our present new church building, and Christian Educational and Social Center was celebrated on Sunday, September 21, with a combined worship service. The anniversary banquet was attended by an overflow crowd. Thanks and appreciation to all the workers, members and friends who attended and made special donations towards the “mortgage reduction fund.”

October is known in many churches as “Loyalty Month.” Special emphasis is placed upon loyal and faithful attendance of divine worship services: first Sunday “World Wide Communion,”

second “Family Sunday,” third “Guest Sunday” and the last “Reformation Sunday.”

All boys and girls who are 12 years old or attend 7th or 8th grade are expected to enroll in Confirmation Class.

Those who wish to learn Hungarian are asked to sign up in the church office either in the “beginner” or “advanced” group. Registration fee $10.

The building of the new parsonage is progressing. Many members have made generous contributions and those who still wish to do so should contact the pastor. Interest-free loans will be greatly appreciated.
