Certainly we are grateful to our people for all the achievements of the past year, but above all we are grateful to God for His manifold blessings. Holiday Services: April 4, Palm Sun­day, 10:30 a.m. English-Hungarian Ser­vices, when 25 young people will be received into the adult membership of the congregation in the Rite of Con­firmation. The Ladies’ Aid will honor the newly confirmed and their families with a dinner immediately following the service. April 8, 7:30 p.m. Maundy Thursday Service. April 9, from 12 noon to 3 p.m. Tre Ore Services at the Allen Park Presbyterian Church. Good Friday eve­ning at 7:30 services in our church. April 10, 7:30 p.m. Communion Pre­paratory Service. April 11, Easter Sun­day, English Service at 9:30 a.m. Hun­garian at 11 a.m. Holy Communion at both Services. Our Annual Masonic Sunday will be held on April 25. Mrs. Voros was a life-time member of our congregation and the Women’s Club, whose members stood as an honor guard at her funeral. In­terment followed in our cemetery. New members accepted: Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Mate, Carol and Suzanne Mate, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Ouillette and their daughter Dorothy Lynn. Lenten communion was observed on February 28th with 156 members par­ticipating. During Lent vesper services will be conducted Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. The Women’s Club sponsored an all day Roast Beef Dinner on Thursday, March 25th. McKeesport, pa. Most of our members lived with the Holy Communion on the first Sunday of Lent. Officers of the Youth Fellowship for the year of 1971 are: Lynn Serfozo president, Gloria Orris vice-president, Karon Jordanhazy secretary, and Cheryl Balogh treasurer. Our young people meet every second Sunday at 6:30 p.m. The schedule of Holy Week and Easter Worship Services will be pub­lished in our monthly “Church News.” PERTH AMBOY, N. J. A special Easter holiday letter will be sent to all our members. The sick and shut-in brethren will be called upon with holy communion. Anyone desiring this service should call the church office. A special choir concert for the holy week is being planned by Mrs. Chris Campbell, minister of music and Mrs. Lillian Bányácski, organist on Good Friday. The Women’s Guild will hold a “so­cial” or “Chinese auction” on Sunday, April 25th. Our women are making plans for the Annual Women’s Conference of the United Church Women, Eastern Area, which is scheduled for Sunday, May 2nd, in our church and center. Our Sr. Women’s Club is planning to celebrate the 50th anniversary of its organization on June 13th, Sunday. Please, reserve this date on your calen­dar! The Eastern Area Youth Conference on March 21st was well attended and the discussion on “drugs and narcotics and the Christian answer to the prob­lem” stimulated everyone who came from far and near. Baptism: on February 14th, David Michael Elko, the first bom son of Stephen Elko and Dawn Papp was baptized; godparents, Stephen Kántor and Patricia French. On the last Sunday of February we had our Holy Communion service for Lent. The next Holy Communion service will be at Easter, the elements may be offered. Many thanks to Rev. Stefan Török, assistant minister, for his services and help during the month of February. At this time we can report a suc­cessful meat sale and a Sándor- József and Elders installation dinner. STATEN ISLAND, N. Y. The annual congregational meeting reelected the following officers: Louis Kish president, Albert Kish vice-presi­dent, Joseph O’Donnell assistant vice­­president. Steven F. Nemeth treasurer, Rev. Nicholas Nyary was elected as assistant secretary reelected the fol­lowing elders: Louis E. Kish, John Kosa Sr., Alexander Kosa, Peter Mac­­kero wsky, Johns Rodvansky and newly elected Alexander Teryek. Officers for the Women’s Guild for 1971 were elected: Mrs. John Lovas president, Mrs. Norman Andersen as vice-president, Mrs. Joseph O’Donnell as treasurer, Mrs. Margaret Lewis as secretary. Our annual Installation dinner honor­ing the officers was held March 14. Rt. Rev. Dezső Abraham, bishop, greeted the officers. The Women’s Guild participated in a corporate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of Lent. Death: Our lifetime member Mrs. Frank Kish’s son Louis, deceased after a long illness. TRENTON, N. J. Baptism: Beth Mildred, the infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Har­rison, was baptized on March 7th. God­parents: Mr. and Mrs. Richard Har­rison. Marriage'. Joseph Varga and Maria Szentmihalyi were united in Holy Mat­rimony on February 20th. Funerals: Mrs. Joseph Pletenyik was buried on February 13th, and Mr. John Aigner on February 23rd. The annual Elders’ Dinner was held on March 14th. At this affair the “man of the year” was feted. This honor was given this year to Mr. Stephen Ture, elder, and our chairman of the building committee. Also, the Hungarian Inde­pendence War of 1848-49 was remem­bered. The churches of our neighborhood arranged a lecture with film and panel discussion about drug abuse on Feb­ruary 7th. Mrs. Andrew Thomas, our church member, worked hard to make this educational event possible. The Young Women’s Guild invited all our members to a Tea Afternoon on February 7th.
