12 MAGYAR EGYHÁZ future, and the Lord blessed our plans and allowed us to reach our goal. At this writing all of the imaginable obstacles have been removed, and we have the necessary building permits at hand. We start building in March. DESCRIPTION OF THE LORANTFFY CARE CENTER The Lorantffy Care Center will be a brick building about 260 feet in length and 130 feet in width. It will offer space for 102 persons in 52 rooms. The home will have two interior garden courts, three large glass roofed interior spaces and 26 other rooms which will provide for all the medical care and lacilities prescribed by law. Ruilding cost is estimated at $900,000.00, and the new building, including land and furnishings, will represent an investment of $1,200,000.00. Our home is going to be built in one of the nicest suburbs, far removed from the noise and crime of the inner city. In quality it will far surpass the requirements of the state, as we wish to offer nothing but the best to our ageing Hungarian brethren. Our beautiful church is within some 100 steps of the main entrance to the home. The majority of our personnel speaks Hungarian as well, so that our ageing Hungarian brethren will be able to converse with them in their native tongue. Our doctors, too, are Hungarian physicians. Our monthly charges for upkeep are being established, to put the home within the reach of our brethren, who may not be well to do, duly taking into account social security payments, retirement allowances and other available subsidies. Our home can be easily reached from everywhere. Four million people live within an hours’ drive of our location. Cleveland is but 30 minutes away, Canton 30 minutes, Alliance 40 minutes and Youngstown but 45 minutes by car; utilizing the most modern highways. ORDER OF ADMISSION The order of admission to the home will be. governed by the order of the reservation. This order must he maintained, and therefore, those who sent in and signed their applications (attached) sooner, even if desiring to enter the home at some predetermined later date, will have the priority at being admitted. Therefore it is very important to indicate the date next to the signature, as this date will determine the order of admission priority. We will accept applications from anywhere, within the continental limits of the United States of America. In view of the fact tliat the home is under the direction of Hungarians and church leaders, we can guarantee superior care and loving attention towards our ageing Hungarian brethren. We are happy to report, that a more than usual interest is already being expressed for our home, this then is our reason for requesting everyone, who wishes to investigate details of admission to the home, to get in touch with us at the earliest date, so that we may be in a position to satisfy their needs. REQUEST FOR DONATIONS We humbly request the financial support of our brethren for our Lorantffy Care Center. Our congregation has, during the past months, spent almost all of its funds, to enable it to build this great institution of love and care. To date we have spent more than $30,000 in connection with the preparation of plans and the obtaining of the necessary permits. At the start we will need every penny, to assure that the Lorantffy Care Center be able to do God’s work among our Hungarian brethren, the old and the infirm alike. Donations from individuals, whom the spirit of God had so directed, should be sent to Lorantffy Care Center, 2631 Copley Road, Akron, Ohio 44321. Please do not send cash, as this may get lost, checks and money orders should be made out to Lorantffy Care Center. Our home wishes to individually and permanently preserve the memory of those who send in larger donations. Those, who donate a thousand dollars, will be entitled to have a room named after them, or one of their loved ones. The name of the room will preserve the donor’s sacrifice and contribution as well as his name or that of his loved one. Names of those, who contribute $500, will be separately preserved on a bronze plaque in the public reception hall. All contributions are tax deductible. We gratefully accept any and all donations, and will publicly acknowledge their receipt in the quarterly reports to he issued by our Home. The Lorantffy Care Center, of necessity, must be the concern of everyone of us, despite the fact, that our Akron congregation had assumed the lions’ share of the work, toil and sacrifice in connection with the home. OPENING DATE According to plans, the good Lord willing, the Akron Lorantffy Care Center will open its doors on July 1, 1972, to our ageing, sick or lonely brethren, and to all, who need a home operated with truly Hungarian love, Christian faith and concern. * * * Blessed is the Lord, who leads his people through difficulties and thus makes His Name holy among us. His, alone, is the power and the glory.
