MAGYAR EGYHÁZ 19 Roczey, president of the Hungarian Protestant Min­isterial Association of Pittsburgh and Vicinity, and members of the Association: the Rev. László Berze­­viczy, dr., McKeesport; the Rev. George Csia, dr., Pittsburgh; the Rev. Pal Kovács, Johnstown; the Rev. Zoltán Kovács, Homestead. The Rev. Louis Illés, host pastor delivered the Hungarian sermon and the prayer of dedication. Our organist, Miss Karen Sabo and the choir under the direction of Mrs. Ann Shigo provided the musical selections used in the worship service. Dr. Frederick Moleck was the guest organist of the dedication service. Dr. Moleck is a director of music of Holy Family Church, Latrobe, Pa., and also of St. Vincent Archabbey, Latrobe, and the chairman of the Music Committee of the Liturgical Commission, Diocese of Greensburg. He graduated from St. Vin­cent with gold medal for excellence, and received his Ph.D in musicology from the University of Pittsburgh. His research studies were conducted at the Staats­bibliothek, Munich, Germany, Bodleian Library, Ox­ford, England, and the British Museum, London, Eng­land. His works were published in major magazines and encyclopedias, and is offering organ recitals and workshops in the Tri-states. His recital at our dedi­cation service included selections from Handel, J. S. Bach and Richard Purvis. A fellowship dinner followed the worship service. Our guest speaker was the Right Reverend Louis Nagy, former bishop of the Hungarian Reformed Church in America, Superintendent of our Bethlen Home. True Christian fellowship was enjoyed by all. Members of the Women’s Club with chairladies Mrs. Julia Nagy and Mrs. Barbara Cheke prepared a de­lightful and delicious dinner. Memories of this dedication and the fellowship dinner will go down in our congregation’s history as one of the highlights of 1971. Tibor Dömötör NEWS FROM THE CONGREGATIONS AKRON. OHIO On Holy Trinity Sunday we confirmed the following children: Sándor Baksa, Hajna Batizy, Lehel Batizy, Erzsébet Biró, Linda Bernáth, Elizabeth Dömötör, Anthony Pfahler, Michael Pfahler, Jim Szőr, István Varga, Serena Várkonda. May God bless richly the newly con­firmed children, their parents and our congregation. During the Pentecost services 142 per­sons participated in the Holy Com­munion service. Baptism: On June 13th we baptized Paul Henry Laite, the newly born son of Mr. and Mrs. Allan Laite. May God bless the little child and his parents. Wedding: On June 19th Mr. Peter Kropf and Miás Anna Martinék were married in our church. We wish a very happy life for the newly weds. Funeral: On May 21st we buried Alex Adler. He was 89 years old. May God comfort the heart of his son Simon, who is our very faithful councilman. July 11 is the day of our annual musical picnic. The picnic will be held in the St. Nicholas park in Barberton. (1051 Robinson Ave.) We cordially in­vite our friends to our great church picnic. BETHLEHEM, PA. Rev. Kalman Gondocz accepted a call to Buckhannon, W. Va. The church council named Rev. Bela Pohoczky to be elected by the congregation on June 13. At Pentecost Rev. B. Pohoczky was the guest-minister as the candidate. The following newly confirmed young people took part of the Lord’s Supper during a combined service at Pentecost: Tünde Gondocz, Carol Nemeth, Joseph and Steve Hegedűs, David Nemeth and Steve Toth. Enikő Gondocz was playing the organ during the offering. The picnic of our Sunday School held on June 6th in Dorney Park was a great success. CARTERET, N. J. Members of both confirmation classes were examined before the congregation on Ascension Day evening. All 21 young people were very well prepared. Con­firmation took place at the morning worship service on May 23rd. Then, on Pentecost Sunday the newly confirmed partook of holy communion for the first time. The 11 confirmed young people are the following: Steven Stanley Dom­­browski, Robert Kevin Kalas, William Michael Kantor, Wendy Marie Lazar, Robert Kevin Lukach, William John Lu­­kach, Helen Mate, Gary Zoltán Milak, Pamela Catherine Peter, Lorraine May Sokolowski and Joann Debra Szabó.
