16 MAGYAR EGYHÁZ ing. The English at 9, the Hungarian at 10 o’clock. On May 31 sit a special service was held, observing Memorial Day. At this time a tribute was also paid to the following graduates: Emily Csogi graduated from Helene Fuld School of Nursing, James Harkel received his James E. Harkel Master of Art degree in Special Education, Kathleen Bartha and Dorlinda A. Varga Dorlinda Varga graduated from High School. The Rev. Csaba Orosz received his Master in Theology degree from Princeton Theological Seminary on June 2. He conducted his last service in our church on June 14. A Farewell Tea was held in his honor on Saturday evening at which time he was presented with gifts from the Church Council and the Young Women’s Guild. The children of the Sunday School also presented him with a gift and dedicated a hymn to him during the worship service on Sunday. After a tour of the United States, the Rev. Orosz will return to Transylvania. On June 7, members of the Youth Fellowship conducted a special youth service during which they offered some very inspiring messages in the sermon and the hymns. STATEN ISLAND, N. Y. It was an inspiration at our Mother’s Day celebration to see Bela Nagy, son of the late Mrs. Mihály Nagy and 18 of her descendants join in our worship service to commemorate their mother. Our New Bread thanksgiving communion will be held at both services July 12. Our Father’s Day dinner, arranged by the Women’s Guild was a real success affair. The annual Strawberry Festival and Chinese Auction was sponsored by the Women’s Guild on June 26. The Annual Bazaar dates are September 26 and October 3. YOUNGSTOWN, OHIO On May 24th the Men’s Club presented the Man of the Year award to Thomas Roy Combs, a faithful Elder of our church and since last month president of the Men’s Club. Our No. 1 bowling team won the championship of the Liberty Protestant Church Men’s League. Congratulations! The annual picnic for our Sunday School children was held at the Pine View Acres on June 28ith. The Father’s Day dinner, sponsored by the Yolanda Circle, was a real success. On May 24th during the English service the Rev. Alexander Marton baptized his granddaughter, Maribeth, daughter of Michael C. Ellis and his wife Elizabeth C. Marton. Godparents: Alexander J. Marton and Mrs. Yolanda Ida Poling. On June 21st during the combined service we baptized Donald Robert, son of Donald R. Pedicini and his wife Carol A. Veres. Godparents: Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Bundza. A templomlátogatás változatlanul jónak mondható a gyülekezetben. Angol énekkarunk június második vasárnapjától kezdve csak az úrvacsorái istentiszteleteken szerepel a nyári hónapok alatt. Vasárnapi iskolánk változatlanul működik. Az angol női csoport nyári piknikje jól sikerült. Ugyancsak jól sikerült az egyházunk keretén belül működő magyar fiú és leány cserkészek nyári vizsgája. Változatlanul folyik a magyar nyelviskola is a nyári hónapok alatt. Lelkészünk az elmúlt hónap folyamán beszédet mondott a Copley-i középiskola érettségiző diákjai előtt, a Copley-i Kiwanis Clubban, a Fairlawn-i Kiwanis Clubban és a Clevelandi Trianoni Bizottság nagygyűlésén a Sheraton Hotelben. Június 4-én, a trianoni békeparancs aláírásának 50-ik évfordulóján, egyházunk gyülekezeti termében tiltakozó gyűlést tartottunk és egyben megalakítottuk az Akroni és környéki Magyar Egyházak és Egyletek Nagybizottságát. Gyülekezetünkből két gyermek készül a ligonieri nyári magyar iskolára. Egyházunk évi nagy zenés piknikje július 12-én, vasárnap lesz a barbertoni Szent Miklós Parkban (1054 Robinson Avenue). A pikniken a közkedvelt Szittyái tánczenekar muzsikál és a délután folyamán 1,000 dollár kerül kisorsolásra. Sorsolási jegyek a helyszínen is kaphatók. Minden hónap második hétfőjén magyar templomi istentiszteletet közvetítünk a WZAK FM állomáson, a 93.1 hullámhosszon.
