The Dorcas Guild is making plans for a Birthday Smorgasbord Dinner for members and husbands. The Guild is buying a $1,000 panel of stained glass for the church. Many wonderful letters were re­ceived from the servicemen to whom we sent Christmas gifts. Guild members attended a Mis­sion Luncheon at the Allen Park Presbyterian Church. The theme was on migrant workers. The month of March will be busy, with three dinners: Great Lakes Steel Credit Union, St. Fran­cis Cabrini Dad’s Club, and a Ford Motor Co. Retirement Party. The Mere’s Guild dinner and show was greatly enjoyed by the guests. Children liked the puppets and especially the balloons which were so hard to blow. Our Sunday School is self sus­taining. Their income for 1967 was $2,077.08; expenses $1,903.25, leav­ing a balance of $173.83. The Annual Sunday School Card Party was held January 9. Thanks to all those who donated, helped and attended; we had a net profit of $350.05. DUQUESNE, PA. Annual report, 1967: Receipts $29,931.37. Expenses $29,590.52. In addition to this, we reinvested $12,000 in the house and lot ad­joining the church property, for future expansion. In the year 1967 we had 4 baptisms, 1 wedding, 6 funerals, we received 7 new mem­bers, 7 of our members transfer­red out of town, 5 new members were confirmed. Our congregational meeting­­elected the following officers for the year 1968: Richard W. Heyz, chief elder; Assistant Elders: Louis Szuch for the Hungarian con­gregation, Donald S. Koester for the English congregation; Joseph Voros, treasurer, John Estu, aud­itor, Robert Bodnar, offering re­corder, Frank Kottán, Jr., secre­tary. This meeting on January 28th also elected four new councilmen: Robert Bodnar, Louis Szuch, Jo­seph Vukelja and Michael Beres. Our Youth Fellowship elected the following officers for the year 1968: Larry War go president, Da­vid Sapos vice-president, Christine Dobos secretary, Anita Tornai treasurer. The Youth Fellowship had a Retreat at the Forest Park Lodge, Bakersville, Pa. on February 16- 18. Michael Beres donated $70 to redeem communion elements in 1968. Funeral: Mrs. Barbara Popély, January 18th. She was a resident of Bethlen Home for many years. New members received: George Cutson, Nagy Sándorné, Frank Demes. Our church was host to one of the union services during the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. We will have worship services during Lent every Wednesday, at 7:30 p.m. NILES, OHIO (Southside United Pres. Church) The following new Elders were ordained and installed by the pas­tor : Robert Balias, Edward Lutsky and John W'ebster. The reorganized Westminster Youth Fellowship, with Elaine Pi­­rigyi, president, held its first meet­ing on February 11th which was moderated by Elder Dallas Wood­­all. Their next meeting will he a winter outing witli iceskating and sleigh ride. A fund raising proj­ect has been launched to help in camping expenses. Sp/5. Stephen C. Sewell, the son of the Rev. and Mrs. Nicholas S. Sewell, returned to Vietnam for six more months, after spending a five-week leave with his parents. He is a helicopter flight engineer in the Khe Suhn area just below the D.M.Z. The Young Ladies Auxiliary had a “hurka-kolhasz” dinner on the last Sunday of February and out of the profit have ordered new tables for the dining room. Much to the pleasure of the church treasurer, several persons put into the offering a whole month envelopes ahead, before leaving for their winter vacation in Florida. Mrs. Betty Massaro and her sis­ter, Elaine Pirigyi have donated an official flag for the two year old Boy Scout Troop 37 sponsored by our Church. PERTH AMBOY, N. J. The annual congregational meet­ing elected the following officers: John Marincsák chief elder, Jo­seph Bányácski vice president, John S. Kovács treasurer, Steven J. Deák secretary, Nicholas Katkó and Miklós Magyar, Jr. elders. Statistics: 17 baptisms, 14 con­firmations, 10 marriages, and 19 funerals were held in 1967; eight new members joined our church. Sunday, March 3rd, the mem­bers of tbe Women’s Guild partic­ipated in a corporate holy com­munion in observance of the 21st anniversary of their organization. BUS EXCURSION to MIAMI, Florida April 22 - May 2, 1968 11 days by The Sr. Women’s Club Hungarian Ref. Church of Perth Amboy, N. J. S160 includes transportation, accommodations, and sightseeings. The Sunday School adopted Shin Me Yung, a four year old Ko­rean orphan. Children bring up their extra earned coins to pay the monthly support of $10. Mrs. Rose Nagy, superintendent, gave a de­tailed report in the year book. At Christmas the Sunday School do­nated $500 for the Organ and Chapel Funds. The Eastern Area of the Bethlen Youth Federation elected Lydia Varga vice president, Susan Hege­dűs secretary, members of our C.
